Telephony: it is possible to make local, inter-city and international phone calls from the telephone booths or from the public call offices. The payment is made with the help of the telephone cards, which you can buy in any department of the telephone communication and post offices, at news agent’s, petrol-filling stations, in some shops, cafes, kiosks which sell tickets for public transport.

Kiev is the capital of Ukraine and at the same time it is “the mother of Russian cities”, the place “ where  the Russian Land  comes from”, the cradle of Oriental-Slavonic civilization. The marvellous   ancient city, illumined by the glimmer of the domes and filled with fragrance of the famous chestnuts in Khreschatyk. These images are so perceptible and visible that the domes shine even on a very gloomy day, and the fragrance is also felt in the autumn, when the chestnuts have lost its blossoms so far. Kiev is a two million metropolitan city, industrial, cultural, scientific centre of Ukraine. There are more than 70 higher educational institutes in the city, such industries as aircraft, metallurgical, polygraphic, consumer goods, food and textile are highly developed. Tourists are attracted to Kiev by rich historical and architectural heritage and a busy cultural life of the city. So, there are more than thirty museums and the same quantity of theatres in Kiev. The museum of popular architecture and way of life “Pirogovo”, which is situated in the suburbs of the city in the open air, possesses one of the most interesting expositions. Among the historic landmarks we must point out Kiev Pechersk Lavra, the Cathedral of Saint Sophia, Mikhailovsky  Zlatoverhy  monastery, the Golden Gate, the Mariynsky Palace.

Lvov is quite another Ukraine. Picturesque Galician city was a part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Poland, USSR, and finally a part of Independent Ukraine. Such a boisterous history can’t help but leave an imprint on local culture and architecture, which has taken in a vast number of different trends, influences and styles.
Odessa, a multifaced , international city at the seashore, is the most strong binding thread between the present-day Russia and Ukraine. Odessa is the Motherland of dozen of outstanding people, who are famous all over the world, city-legend, anthemed in many songs and immortalized in literary work.
Crimea – the Autonomous Republic, a part of Ukraine and it is the place where the main resorts of the Black Sea coast are situated.
Big Yalta- a narrow zone of the South Coast of Crimea, which stretches along 70 km. and unites more than 30 populated places: Goorzoof, Nikita, Massandra, Yalta, Livadiya, Gaspra, Koreiz, Mishor, Alupka, Simeiz, Foros and others. This is one of the warmest places on the South Coast of Crimea.
Goorzoof is situated at a distance of 16 km. from Yalta. Straight away behind the famous Ayu –Dag(Bear-Mountain) stretch the campus buildigs , parks and beaches of the International Children’s Centre “Artek”. In the borough of Nikita, the world-famous Nikitsky Botanic Garden , which was founded in 1812, is situated. Its collection comprises around 30 thousand plants from all parts of the world.   
Small town Massandra is famous all over the world due to its similary-named winemaking plant. The wines with the Massandra brand for some decades have already been getting through serious international contests. Livadiya is famous as the summer residence of the tzar Nicolay the second.
Mishor, Gaspra and Koreiz are situated at a distance of 12-15 km. from Yalta and now they have practically run into one populated place. There is the world-famous “ The Swallow Nest “in Gaspra, the rock “ Diva”, “Swan’s Wing” and the mountain “Cat” are situated in Semeiz.
Big Alushta stretches from Partenit to Privetnoye. More than 80 health resorts , student’s camps, recreation departments, many mini-hotels are situated here. Alushta mountain amphitheatre is the most beautiful and the largest in the Crimea. You can get here by train to Simpheropol, and there are direct trolley-buses to Alushta and Yalta from the railway station. And those who like sea voyages instead of the “bus with antennas” can get on a pleasure boat. At the beginning of the XX century not far from Alushta a small populated area, which is called Professor’s Corner, was founded from the cottages of Moscow and St. Petersburg scientists. Now this place is the centre of resort Alushta, where most of the sanatoriums are concentrated. Here its own resort atmosphere has been formed: many restaurants and cafes, disco clubs and fairground attractions, entertainment centres “ Albatros”, “Castel” and “ Alushta”. Since 2004 the Aquapark has been working between the central embankment and Professor’s Corner.
Yevpatoriya is one of the most ancient cities of Ukraine. It is divided into three parts: old city with crooked, narrow streets, new city – with rows of multi-storeyed buildings and a resort area, where most of the health resorts are situated. There are direct trains to Yevpatoriya from Moscow and other cities, however,   in the height of the season there are more chances to get a ticket to Simpheropol. You can get to Yevpatoriya from Simpheropol in a little more than an hour. During its long history the health resorts institutions have accumulated the unique experience of treatment of illnesses and diseases, having formed the largest in Europe mud and hydropathic resort. Many children traditionally recreate in Yevpatoriya, and adults come here in order to sunbathe on sandy beaches and to heal. The main treatment directions of the resort are problems with locomotor apparatus, the organs of breath ( nontuberculous character), some gynaecologic illnesses, consequences of injuries of excitatory nervous system.
Sudak and New World are the largest tourist centres of the region. The region is remarkable for its peculiar landscapes, plentifulness of monuments and places of interest. Here the unique wildlife sanctuary places are situated – Karadag, New World, and the famous Sudak guenuezskaya fortress. Middle-class people and students took fancy to Sudak a long time ago: here prices are traditionally lower than those in Yalta. Many interesting people come here for archeological excavations, in different geologic expeditions, and they also come here in order to paint, write poems and make films. It is the public who founded here at the time the basis of naturism. Nowadays the plentifulness of services and attractions in Sudak is increasing right in front of your eyes; it already has its own aquapark. The Sudak bay is shallow; it is perfectly heated by the sun; it is defended from the east and west by the capes. Local, two-kilometres’ beach – with grey gravel of the medium size, and a little bit higher – shaly sand of dark grey colour.
